Strategic Plan Refresh 2024-2025

A strategic plan is essential for guiding a school district toward its long-term goals, providing clear direction, and focusing efforts on enhancing both achievement and wellness. By being laser-focused on key priorities, Chilliwack School District will allocate resources efficiently align initiatives, and ensure that all partners - Students, parents/guardians/caregivers, staff, First Nations, Rights Holders, Inuit, Métis, community members and organizations - are working toward a common purpose.

A well-crafted vision and mission statement are foundational to this process, defining the district's goals and the path to achieving them, District values serve as the guiding principles, ensuring that decisions are made with integrity and a commitment to inclusivity, equity, and excellence. When everyone in the district is aligned around a shared vision, mission, and values, the result is a cohesive effort to support student success, foster well-being, and create an environment where both staff and students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. This focused approach is key to driving continuous improvement across the district.

The Chilliwack School District will have a renewed and revised comprehensive Strategic Plan - including a clear vision and mission as well as defined goals, objectives and priorities that are realistic, achievable and measurable. The Strategic Plan will recognize the uniqueness of the Chilliwack School District and recognize the importance of the engagement of and communication to partners and the school community throughout the process.
