Strategic Plan Refresh 2024-2025

Strategic Plan Refresh 2024 - 2025

The Chilliwack School District is updating our strategic plan. We're involving and communicating with partners and school communities throughout the process. We're listening to students, parents, guardians, caregivers, staff, First Nations, Rights Holders, Inuit, Métis, community, and partner organizations.

What we learn will inform our strategic plan for the next four years. The refreshed plan will include our mission, vision, and values, as well as measurable goals, priorities, and objectives. It will reflect what makes the Chilliwack School District unique. And it will support student success, foster well-being, and create an environment where staff and students thrive.

Background

A strategic plan is a guiding document that sets an organization's direction. For the Chilliwack School District, the plan serves as a map towards our long-term goals. It provides a clear path for how we can work together to enhance achievement and wellness.

A strong vision and mission statement are at the heart of this process.

  • The vision statement defines the district's dream for the future.
  • The mission statement is about the here and now. It explains our district's purpose, what we do, and how we serve students and community. It focuses on the daily steps that move us towards our vision.
  • Our values are guiding principles; they ensure we make decisions with integrity.

Together, the vision, mission, and values help us focus on shared priorities and drive ongoing improvement in the district.
