French Immersion Application Process

The Chilliwack School District will endeavour to inform parents about the Early and Late French Immersion Programs of Choice. Parent information meetings and deadlines for submitting applications for Early and Late French Immersion shall be scheduled so as to allow sufficient time for decision-making and discussion prior to application. All applicants will be informed as to their status and whether or not they have been accepted into either of these District French Immersion Programs of Choice. The specific procedures for the Early and Late programs are outlined below.

Early French Immersion Application (EFI)

The District will hold an informational meeting for interested parents of Kindergarten students in early December at École Cheam Elementary (gymnasium), 9895 Banford Road, Chilliwack.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of spaces available, a lottery system for selection will be used, within the parameters of our Selection Process. All applications received by 12:00 pm on January 5, 2024 will be included in the lottery draw.
