If your son/daughter is on an IEP, has a Ministry category, or has EA support during class time it is very important that we are aware of this. If you have any questions / concerns please contact SL Vice-Principal Jeff Dartnell at 604-701-4916 prior to registering. Thank you!!!

I give the school permission to administer medications (Select I agree from from the drop down menu below) Please contact the school about your son/daughter’s medication. Please phone Vice-Principal Jeff Dartnell at 604-701-4916.

Course Information
Expectations & Consent

All Completion courses will run the month of July (see timetable for more info).

All courses will run only if there are enough students registered in each class. Parents/guardians and students will be
notified by June 30 if a course will run or if it has been cancelled. This information will also be made available on the School District
website at http://www.sd33.bc.ca/programs/summer-learning. You may also call the summer school office 604-701-4972. Chilliwack School District reserves the right to change location, teacher, and cancel classes with insufficient
enrollment.

Expectations:

Attendance - Summer Learning has strict class attendance requirements. Parents must contact the office (604-701-4972) if a student is going to be away for a valid reason (Example: Medical Emergency). Students
are expected to attend all classes; any absence will jeopardize the student's success. Two unexcused absences may result in removal from the program.

Tardiness - Students must be on time for class so they do not disrupt the learning process (being late after a break is also included). Two unexcused lates will equal one absence.

Behaviour – All regular school district rules and consequences apply pertaining to language, dress code, and conduct. Chilliwack Senior Secondary
and surrounding areas are smoke-free.

Class work and homework – To pass your Summer Learning course(s), you will have to work hard. Middle school students will be expected to complete all
assigned work on time and will be held accountable for all homework and other assignments. It is reasonable to expect that for every hour in
class at least one additional hour of homework is required.

Closed Campus - Summer Learning is a Closed Campus and all visitors on site must have pre-approval from our Administrative Team to be on school grounds during school hours.

**Course Cancellation: If the course does not have sufficient enrollment you will be notified by June, 30, 2017.**

I have read the Summer Learning expectations and agree to review them with my son/daughter. I realize that if my son/daughter violates any of these expectations, their placement in Summer Learning may be jeopardized.
