Three Sardis Secondary students took the three top prizes in the Chilliwack Optimist Club Essay Contest this month. The essay topic "Chasing Optimism in the Face of Challenges" was presented to the grade 10 students by SSS English teacher Jen Wieler who championed them through the writing process.

Promontory Heights Elementary Community School Expansion

A funding announcement was made Friday February 17, that will fund a new, eight classroom addition to Promontory Heights Elementary Community School. This addition will accommodate up to 200 students in the rapidly growing south-side community. Construction begins in summer 2017 and completion is expected for spring 2018.
